- How heavy is the DuraMax?
- When empty the DuraMax weighs less than 15 lbs. However, when full, it weighs 103 lbs and requires two adults to lift it safely.
- Can I put diesel fuel in the DuraMax?
- The DuraMax's red colour is usually associated with gasoline. However, you can carry diesel fuel in the DuraMax. We suggest marking the container "DIESEL" to avoid confusion.
- Is it legal to transport this much fuel on commercial trucks used for landscaping?
- Yes. The container is UN certified.
- On hot sunny days, is there a chance that the DuraMax will explode or leak in my trunk?
- If the container is properly closed, it will not explode or leak.
- How long can I store gas in my DuraMax?
- Gas has a shelf life of about 6 months. To extend the life of your gas, use a fuel stabilizer.
- What happens if the gas in the DuraMax becomes contaminated with dirt or bad gas?
- Drain your Duramax in an environmentally responsible way, and then flush it out with fresh, clean gas.
- Are there any laws in the United States or Canada that would prevent me from transporting the DuraMax when it is full?
- No. The UN certification is accepted around the world.
